Roger L. Patton is a distinguished entertainment attorney and business strategist with a career spanning top-tier legal practice, music, film, and global talent representation. A graduate of Yale University and Harvard Law School, where he was an editor of the Harvard Law Review, Mr. Patton is based in Los Angeles, California, where he leads his own firm, the Law Offices of Roger L. Patton. His practice provides legal counsel, business affairs, and strategic business development services across the entertainment and new media industries.

In addition to his law practice, Mr. Patton is the Co-Founder, General Counsel, and Global Head of Business Development for Africa Creative Agency (ACA), a leading Pan-African talent agency and production company headquartered in Johannesburg, South Africa. At ACA, he brokers deals and expands opportunities for African talent on the global stage while producing projects in film, television, new media, and live events.

Before co-founding ACA, Mr. Patton served as General Counsel and EVP of Business Development for Hidden Beach Recordings, the Los Angeles-based independent record label that introduced the world to Grammy-winning artist Jill Scott. He oversaw all legal and business affairs while leading new ventures and strategic partnerships.

Throughout his career, Mr. Patton has handled groundbreaking deals, including:

Negotiating the recording contract that brought South African superstar Tyla to Epic Records.
Securing the deal that launched Victoria Monét, Grammy Award winner for Best New Artist.
Negotiating the lead actress talent and music supervision agreements for the first three Netflix Originals that helped launched Netflix in South Africa.
Previously, Mr. Patton was a partner at the elite Beverly Hills entertainment law firm Bloom, Hergott, Cook, Diemer & Klein, representing A-list recording artists, producers, independent labels, and production companies. His experience also includes serving as Chief Entertainment Counsel for President Bill Clinton’s Presidential Inaugural Committee, where he negotiated all entertainment and media agreements for the Clinton Inaugural events.
